Happy St David's Day!We love a trip to Cardiff and on Sunday morning, after we realised it was St David's Day, we zoomed to Temple Meads and with only a minute to spare caught a train to the Welsh capital. Once arrived, we headed straight for Cardiff Castle to enjoy some traditional music. What a surprise when I spotted some people dressed in traditional Breton outfits. My mum, who's originally from Brittany, would have been proud to see bagpipes and dancers giving the spectators a taste of what Fest Noz look like! Unfortunately the rain started to fall quite heavily (Breton style!) so we went to the Museum of Cardiff a bit earlier than planned to catch the Historic Photography Uncovered exhibition. Telling the story of the origins of the world's photographic adventures with albumen prints and other salt printing processes by the industry's Welsh (and English) pioneers, the exhibition will have you revelling in the beauty of the quest to capture memories and fix them in time forever. Highly recommended. After so much emotion, what better way to concluded our St David's Day celebrations than with a few pints of Brains SA Welsh ale! Nina
