The day I got spoilt rotten...
I don't blog about fashion that often but that doesn't mean I don't like looking good. I love clothes, but to become my favourite garments, pieces don't have to be from a particular brand, or be bang on trend; I just have to feel good in them. We all have that pair of shoes, or that shirt that makes us feel like no mountain is high enough for us to climb, don't we? My good friend Gina, who has a true passion for beautiful outfits and with just one look will tell you where the garments you wear come from and what size you are, also runs Style Tribe. She is lucky to work on some brilliant events for brands so I was excited when she invited me to one of them as part of Bath in Fashion. The programme for the day could not have been more attractive; pampering by hairdressers, a yummy lunch and an exploration of luxury brand Jaeger's new collection. Five other bloggers were my companions for the day. I was a bit nervous at the thought that they might turn up looking like a gang of Anna Wintours, but I could not have been more wrong! Karen of Mission Style, Fritha of Tigerlilly Quinn, Lori of Wild & Grizzly, Gaby of Voila Styling and Josephine of Style By Josephine were all absolutely lovely! We started the day at No.3 Hairdressing where the welcoming Stefano and Alice worked wonders on the girls' hair while I had a great time snapping the decor, tools and other objects surrounding us. I'm normally scared of going to a hairdresser as it's always a bit daunting but with these guys, I would definitely feel my mane is in good hands. I shall go back soon for a well needed chop! We then headed to Hall & Woodhouse for a spot of lunch, before the big event; six bloggers let loose in the new Jaeger corner at the legendary premium department store Jolly's (first opened in 1831!) to take on the Jaeger Style Challenge of spotting and photographing the key trends in the SS15 collection: denim, seventies, sunshine colours, safari and monochrome. The Jaeger section of the store is beautifully laid out and delivers the perfect shopping experience. We had great fun selecting our favourites from the gorgeous collection of clothes. I had a crush for a gorgeous pale blue jacket, a beige leather pencil skirt, a lovely crew neck jumper, and a breton stripes top. The collection catered for all of our very different tastes and Jaeger definitely refreshed their style so I strongly recommend you pop by Jolly's in Bath to discover the beautiful collection yourself! Nina PS: I did try my hand at a few fashion selfies. Have a look below. A huge thank you to Gina at StyleTribe, Jordan at Jaeger, Charley at Exposure PR for the fantastic day and to Lancôme counter for the goodie bag.
